Washington Hunter Education Policy

Washington requires hunter education for all hunters born on or after January 1, 1972. The state also offers a one-year Hunter Education Deferral Program for qualifying first-time hunters โ€” allowing one season of supervised hunting before completing the course.

How to Get Your First Washington Hunting License

  5. Save your license digitally and carry field documentation

    Most Washington game wardens accept digital licenses. Print a backup copy as well.
