Idaho Hunter Education Policy
Idaho has one of the lowest resident base license fees in the West at around $13. Hunter education is required for hunters born on or after January 1, 1975, and a field day is required for all age groups. The state participates in the western big game draw system for elk, mule deer, and pronghorn.
